Traditional family recipe fruit cakes
Grandma Jenkins Fruit Cakes are handmade by me, for you, from a recipe that has been handed down through the generations from my Great Grandma, Amy Jenkins (nee Embling).
A little tweaking has occurred along the way as I have added brandy to the mix - my Great Grandparents were in the Salvation Army so there was no alcohol in the larder. Still just as delicious as when she made it but now with a touch of brandy.
I have added gluten free and vegan gluten free fruit cakes to my range adding a modern twist in today's dietary climate.
Grandma Jenkins Fruit Cakes is a fully registered food business operating out of my verified (A Grade) home kitchen in Oratia, West Auckland.
"I'm focused on creating fresh and delicious homemade cakes that use premium ingredients. The eggs I use are free range, the butter is pure and from New Zealand and the brandy is of course French. All of the cases I bake in are a compostable vegetable parchment and non stick."
